Camp Chapel started collaborating with Perry Hall United Methodist Church’s Food Pantry in February 2019. The pantry accepts contributions not only from members of both churches, but also from people in the community, the Maryland Food Bank, and donation bins in local supermarkets. This mission is not part of Perry Hall UMC’s nor Camp Chapel UMC’s budget; it relies solely on those generous gifts and donations. More than 100 families in Baltimore County receive needed food every month. Many of these families live in the Perry Hall/White Marsh area and range from children to seniors. The pantry also partners with the Maryland Food Bank twice a year for large food distributions. These events happen in spring and fall, and typically help feed about 200 families.
You can support this ministry in a couple of ways. One is to contribute non-perishable items. Please contact the church office at 410-256-5561 for drop off instructions. The other is to volunteer your time at the food distribution site at Perry Hall United Methodist Church.
